Shadik

Shadow and Sonic (or, Shado and Sonikku) have fused to create the fastest being in the galaxy: Shadik the Hedgehog.

Shadik takes the speed and agility of Sonic, the strength and tirelessness of Shadow, and multiplies it ten-fold. But not only is he a sound barrier-destroying, chaos energy-wielding superhero, but his attitude has changed as well. Having shirked off the grumpy cynicism of Shadow, and the lackadaisical recklessness of Sonic, Shadik is vigorous, clever, and brimming with confidence as a result of his combined abilities. He believes that nothing is beyond the realm of possibility, and will use his speed and skill to achieve whatever he needs so that the day is won.

Browsing through DA is an effective way to get creativity flowing. This time not so much from inspiration, but from pure stupefaction that A: Sonic-Shadow fusions on here look terrible, and B: Noticing an absence of very obvious elements. Elements such as combining details to create unique, new ideas, and not simply splicing what you see in the original hedgehogs. Throwing away the Sonic-blue, the upward/downward quills, the red stripes and the hover shoes, and just creating a more individual, brand new concept which still retains the spirit of the original heroes.

I won't sit here and honk my own horn....I highly doubt this is the best example of a fusion between the two hedgehogs, and I bet I could have come up with something better if I took the time to sketch multiple designs...but I'll sleep well knowing I took the design farther than most.

Also SA-style shading practice. Not the best, but I've done worse.
